Grand Parkway- Resident’s near Riley Fuzzel / Rayford Road area
TRAFFIC ALERT:
Please be advised of the following current and future construction activities/schedule along Riley Fuzzel:
Friday, April 10, Colorado River Drive will be closed for approximately 30-40 days. The designated access in/out of Creekside Village will be Brazos River Boulevard. This will allow construction teams to accomplish necessary work in this area and help with safety concerns at this intersection.
In preparation for switching traffic to what will be the eastbound frontage road, the following construction activities are scheduled:
Discovery Creek: May 1- May 7 – Discovery Creek will be closed for one week. Use Rayford Road as the detour route to Riley Fuzzel. Construction activities are related to building out the intersection of Discovery Creek and the SH 99 eastbound frontage road.
Rayford Road: Mid-May – Rayford Road will be closed for one week on the south side of Riley Fuzzel for one week. Use Discovery Creek as the detour route. Construction activities are related to building out the intersection of Rayford Road and the SH 99 eastbound frontage road.
Spring Trails: Mid-May – Spring Trails entrance construction activities will extend over a two-week period with continuous access. Lane reductions will be in place with two-way traffic, alternating the closure of northbound and southbound lanes.
Traffic on Riley Fuzzel will be switched to the roadway that becomes the eastbound frontage road in late May, early June. A plan will be in place to maintain access to businesses and residences on the north side of the SH 99 Right-of-Way. Details will be provided at a later date.
