SPRING- Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation informed Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack that the IH- 45 northbound HOV lane will officially be open for use beginning Monday morning.
“The residents of Precinct 3 have been patiently waiting for this lane to open,” said Commissioner Noack. “We believe this will enhance mobility for all who travel this sector of I-45 during peak traffic times.”
Barricades and debris along the 16-mile carpool lane connecting Spring to Conroe will be removed over the weekend.
“Over two weeks ago the IH-45 southbound HOV was completed,” said Commissioner Noack. “The addition of the northbound HOV lane will help alleviate traffic build-up and reduce commute time for residents of Montgomery County. I urge Montgomery County residents who travel the IH-45 corridor to take advantage of this carpool lane.”
